BIO

Assistant Professor Of Operations Research
Peter received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science and Master of Applied Science from the University of Toronto, and Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include analytics and optimization, with applications in health and engineering systems.

My current research interests are in robust operations, including:
Decision making under uncertainty for high-stakes problems, arising from public health and logistics, and
Theory in optimization, to examine the interplay of (un)availability of data, fairness in operations, and simplicity of models and algorithms.
Work in Progress
Theory:
Fairness under uncertainty (with Philippe Blaettchen)
Distributionally robust optimization with hidden correlation (with Clark Pixton)
Applications:
School bus route sharing (with Neha and Hai Wang)
Fair resource allocation during public health emergency (with Özgün Elçi and John Hooker)
Distributionally robust allocation of fleet (with Karmel Shehadeh and Hai Wang)
Distributionally robust inventory network with marginals (with Louis Chen)

Happy to be part of projects or funding proposals related to optimization.
