TEACHING INTERESTS
Teaching is at the center of my academic identity. I aim to create a classroom environment that is rigorous, practical, and intellectually engaging, where students learn not only financial concepts but also how to apply them with confidence and judgment. My courses often combine analytical foundations with hands-on tools, market data, real-time cases, and professional platforms used in the finance industry.
At CMU Qatar, I have taught courses including Introduction to Accounting, Investment Analysis, International Finance, Valuation and Financial Modelling, Entrepreneurial Finance, and Funding of Entrepreneurial Ventures. I have also developed and introduced new course content in areas such as startup valuation, venture capital deal structures, real-time portfolio management, financial modeling, and AI and finance. In the AI+Finance Certificate Program, I co-developed a research-based capstone course that brings together finance, artificial intelligence, and student-led inquiry.
Beyond the classroom, I mentor students through honors theses, summer research projects, the CFA Institute Equity Research Challenge, Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge, investment competitions, and student clubs. I see mentoring as one of the most meaningful parts of my role: helping students discover their strengths, build professional confidence, and translate academic learning into meaningful future opportunities.
