BIO
I am a research faculty member in the Human–Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) at Carnegie Mellon University, where I conduct research at the intersection of human–computer interaction, game design, learning sciences, and artificial intelligence. I earned my PhD and MS in Human–Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University under the supervision of Vincent Aleven. I also hold a BS in Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology. My work focuses on building games and game-based systems as research infrastructure that can serve as tools and environments that enable new forms of inquiry into human behavior, interaction, and collaboration.
