    The Language & Literacy in Education Network Europe & the Middle East (LLEN E&ME) is a regional research network connecting scholars and educators working on language and literacy across diverse educational contexts. It promotes collaboration between researchers in Europe and the Middle East, with a strong focus on multilingual and academic literacy development. The network creates spaces—through conferences, symposia, and projects—for dialogue between theory and classroom practice. Much of this work is informed by Systemic Functional Linguistics, particularly its focus on language as a resource for meaning-making in context.
