Lujo Bauer

Lujo Bauer is a Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and in the Software and Societal Systems Department at Carnegie Mellon University. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from Yale University in 1997 and his Ph.D., also in Computer Science, from Princeton University in 2003. Dr. Bauer is a member of CyLab, Carnegie Mellon's computer security and privacy institute; and he (co-)directs the undergraduate concentrations in computer security & privacy, the ECE MS concentration in security, and the undergraduate minor in information security, privacy and policy.

Dr. Bauer served as the program chair or co-chair for the flagship computer security conferences of the IEEE (S&P 2015), the Internet Society (NDSS 2014), and USENIX (USENIX Security 2025).
