BIO

A seasoned product leader with 10+ years of experience at Google and IBM, Max Friedman is known for building, coaching, and leading empowered teams to excel in complex environments. He is an expert at pioneering innovative solutions and delivering results in zero-to-one product areas.   

At Google, Max is a product leader in Google Shopping leading initiatives that enhance the merchant and shopper experience across Google surfaces. Prior to Google, he held various strategy, operations, and product leadership roles at IBM, including developing new AI offerings for IBM Watson and leading strategic initiatives as Chief of Staff & Portfolio Strategist to the Vice President of IBM Data & AI (Watson).

 

Max is also an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business, teaching "Product Management for and by Product Managers".  He holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon, a JD from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Michigan.
