BIO

Dr. Rima Bhattacharyay is a full-time faculty in the Strategy Area at Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business where she currently teaches the advanced experiential learning Strategy capstone, Management Game. 

She did her PhD in Strategic Management from McGill University and her Bachelors in Economics and Master’s in Public Administration from Cornell University followed by a second Masters in Management from Queen's University's Smith College of Business. 

During the course of her career, Dr. Bhattacharyay has held several teaching and/or research positions at Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management, Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, Queen's University, Niagara University, University of Hawaii at Hilo and McGill University. She was a visiting scholar at the Graduate Research Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo and had worked at the Research Institute for Economy Trade and Industry (RIETI), a leading research and policy think tank in Japan. 

 

Her research interests are in the following areas: Strategy and Innovation, Family Business, Corporate Governance, Management Education and Development.
