BIO
Adviti Naik is an Assistant Professor of the Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. She comes with an extensive research background in pre-clinical and clinical oncology. She was awarded a PhD in Systems Biology from the Eberhard Karls University of Tubingen, Germany funded by the prestigious Marie Curie Initial Training Network European Union grant, prior to which she completed a Masters in Genetics and Molecular Cell Biology from the University of Sheffield, UK. Additionally, she gained experience in the pharma-industry through a placement with AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, UK. Apart from research and teaching, Adviti is passionate about science outreach, career guidance and equipping the next generations of biologists with professional development skills.
