Reya Saliba

Reya Saliba is the Instruction and Outreach Librarian at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q). She holds a Ph.D. in e-Research and Technology Enhanced Learning and a Master's in Information and Library Studies.

Reya teaches research and information literacy skills to first-year students and provides research support through consultations with students, faculty, and staff. Her expertise includes research methodology, information literacy, literature reviews, citation management, and scholarly communication.

She leads CMU-Q library's outreach initiatives and develops innovative programs serving CMU-Q, Education City, and the broader Qatar community through strategic collaborations with academic divisions and student organizations.

Reya actively serves on the CMU-Q AI Working Group, advancing the university's artificial intelligence ecosystem. Previously, she coordinated SDG research alignment as part of the EcoCampus committee, creating a dashboard to showcase academic contributions to UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Her committee involvement includes the Tartans Community Day, Outstanding Academic Support Award, Senior Leadership Award, and Thorpe Award committees. She also participates in the CMU Libraries' Campus Outreach and Engagement Working Group and Core@CMU Steering Committee, fostering collaboration between the Qatar and Pittsburgh campuses.
