BIO
David Lamont is a member of the Strategy faculty group at Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business, where he focuses on creating simulation-based, experiential educational classes.
David is the Director of Management Games and owner of Leland Associates. He has served as a board member for numerous new ventures and has restructured several companies in financial distress, redirecting their strategy and placing them on sound foundations for growth. He has been involved in many start-up ventures as CFO, COO, and CEO, and has raised more than $8 million in venture capital.
David teaches in the Tepper MBA Program, the Undergraduate Business Program, the MS in Product Management for Technology Companies Program, and the MS in Business Analytics Program. He also teaches in three CIT programs: the Information Networking Institute, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and the Integrated Innovation Institute. David is a faculty member in the Integrated Innovation Institute’s newly launched online programs, where he teaches two courses in the New Product Management Certificate. The certificate curriculum focuses on building and sustaining products, as well as strong and informed brand management.
